Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day)
8:00am Coach arrives at Adelante. Load luggage.
8:20am Load onto coach and leave Adelante
10:30am Stop for picnic lunch near Oakdale
2:30pm Arrive at Tunnel View for Yosemite Valley overview
2:45pm Drive back to valley for short walk to base of Bridal Veil Fall
4:00pm Arrive at YI camp at Crane Flat
Student orientation by YI staff
Move belongings into large bunkhouse and relax
5:30pm Dinner in the dining hall
6:30pm Evening program: Movie: The Spirit of Yosemite
8:00pm Free time
9:00pm Bedtime
Tuesday, June 1
6:45am Sleep in late. Get up / get ready / assemble backpacks for the day
7:30am Breakfast in the dining hall
8:00am Clean up camp
8:30am Meet our YI guides. Full day hike to Tuolumne Grove Giant Redwoods
4:00pm Return to Crane Flat for down time / games
5:30pm Assemble for dinner in dining hall
7:00pm Twilight Walk with YI instructors
8:00pm Free time
9:00pm Bedtime
Wednesday, June 2
6:45am Sleep in late again. Get up / pack up everything
7:30am Breakfast in the dining hall
8:00am Clean up camp
8:30am Half hour bus trip to Curry Village in Yosemite Valley
9:00am Place all luggage in luggage storage cabin
9:15am Begin full day in Yosemite Valley with YI instructors
4:00pm Return to Curry Village for down time / showers / games
5:00pm Assemble and walk to dinner in dining hall
6:50pm 1.5 mile walk to Park Headquarters auditorium
7:30pm Evening program: “Bears”
8:30pm 1.5 mile night walk back to Curry Village
9:00pm Arrive at Curry Village. Bedtime
Thursday, June 3
6:00am Get up at regular time / showers / get ready / assemble backpacks for the day
6:45am Walk to breakfast in Curry Village
8:30am Begin full day in Yosemite Valley with YI instructors
4:00pm Return to Curry Village for down time / showers / games
5:00pm Assemble and walk to dinner in dining hall
6:30pm Private campfire program Junior Ranger Campfire Circle with YI instructors
8:30pm Night hike back to Curry Village
9:00pm Arrive at Curry Village. Bedtime
Friday, June 4
6:00am Get up / showers / pack up for trip home
6:45am Walk to breakfast in Curry Village
8:00am Load bus
8:15am Ride bus to Sentinel Dome trailhead
10:00am Arrive at Sentinel Dome parking lot for partial day hike to the dome with YI instructors
2:00pm Return to bus in parking lot. Load to go home and depart from Yosemite.
6:30pm Stop for dinner. Don’t forget your money!
7:45pm Arrive at Adelante School (Note: if the road to Sentinel Dome is closed, we will leave Yosemite earlier and be home by about 6:00pm.)
