Notices

• Friday is a school holiday, so there will be no school for students. The teachers will be working and in meetings all day long.
• Next week is the Autumn intercession, and no school. School resumes November 5.
• I will be at a workshop on Tuesday and Wednesday, but will return on Thursday for the end of our shortened week.
• Gift wrap sales end on Wednesday November 7.
• Parent conferences will be Tues. – Fri. Nov. 13-16
• On Thursday there will be free vision screening for all 6th graders.
• Thursday will be classroom payday and rent due. We will also have our monthly classroom auction!

Homework & Tests

• Memorize new list of spelling words and their definitions. There is a test on Thursday for this list and last weeks words.
• My TIG group will be completing The Westing Game this week. Look for a test on Thursday!
• The completed book report is due Thursday.
• Students should be finished reading their book report book. If it belongs to the class library or school library, turn it in when you have finished working on your report.
• The next book theme is: Any book at your reading level. You get to pick!
• We start a new math unit this week on data analysis. Chapter 5.
