Homework for the Winter Break

Announcements:

  1. Pictures from the Danny G. dance and our classroom are now posted. Go to the picture page and click on the link!
  2. Monday night there is a full eclipse of the moon. It begins at about 9:33PM, and starts to get really “eaten into’ at 10:38PM. It reaches totality at 11:45PM, and stays totally eclipsed for a long time, until 12:52 AM (early Tues. morning). It’s over between 2-3 AM, depending upon how much darkness you consider an eclipse. Of course, the rain clouds will need to cooperate to allow us to see it…
  3. Tuesday Dec. 21 is the Winter Solstice, the first day of winter and the shortest day of the year. After tomorrow, the days get longer. Yea!

I hope you are all having a great and relaxing holiday. Remember to be safe, and I’ll see you on January 3!

Just so you don’t get too bored, here’s what you need to do:

  • Vocabulary Builder (12 words, completely filled out. Use YOUR OWN sentences for the sentence part; check with an adult if you’re not sure how to use the word, because I’ve seen some pretty weird sentences.)
  • Know all of  your multiplication facts. There’s a party if we get everyone to learn them!
  • Finish your December book that has the protagonist of the opposite gender from you. You do NOT need to fill out reading logs if you get your book finished.
