Hello students!
I hope you are all having a good time with our guest teacher Mrs. Deal. We have been talking by phone, and she is letting me know how everything is going. She told me she might even run with you during PE today. Watch out, she’s fast and can outdistance a horse!
I am recovering as expected from my surgery. I am on medicine for the pain that occurs after being cut open, so I am not hurting too much. I’m moving slowly, cannot stand for very long, and the doctor tells me that I can’t lift more than 8 pounds for the next several weeks (or else bad things will happen inside). 
However, everything is going as expected, and the doctor is very pleased with my progress only 3 days after surgery.
For people who have makeup work to do like vocabulary builders, get the sheets in class or from the Downloads page, do them now, and put them in my In Box. If you have a makeup test to take, study now while you have the time, and you can take the test when I return. Mrs. Deal or Maestro Ramiro can help you if you don’t understand the concepts. Do this now, because there won’t be much time before the end of the trimester when I get back.
It’s too soon to tell when I will be back, but I’ll update this site after the weekend. You can always use the chat board to talk to me too.

- Finish your January award winning book.
- Begin your February biography. I suggest you get one at the public library. My favorite people are Ben Franklin and President Theodore Roosevelt. Who is yours?
