Notices

• We had a fun concert last week with Charlotte Diamond. Our 6th graders got to go up in front and helped lead a song or two!
•  Some students are not doing their homework or assignments. This week, I will begin keeping them in during lunch recess in order to get work done.
• I am available in the classroom almost every day during lunch time to help students who need help with their work.
• The grading period is finished in a bit more than 1 week. Late work needs to be turned in as soon as possible in order to receive credit!
• We will begin selling Clif bars after school as a fund raising activity for our Yosemite trip. Clif bars are nutritious energy bars. These bars were generously donated free of charge to us through a parent in the 6th grade, so all of the money we make is profit toward our trip!
• Gift wrap sales begin soon. There is an assembly on Monday to learn about it. This is an important fund raiser for Unidos, which benefits the entire school for art, PE, and dance.
• The fall camp out at Huddart park is this coming Sat. & Sun.!
• Thursday, October 25, is the last day before the Autumn intercession. Class payday and rent will be due then.

Homework & Tests

• Memorize new list of spelling words and their definitions. There is a test on Friday.
• This week in English we will have grammar worksheets pages 39, 41-44.
• We finish Math chapter 4, working with decimals.
• There will be a Math chapter 4 test by Wednesday at the latest.
• There will be a comprehensive Math review test of chapters 1-4 by Thursday at the latest.
• Book report milestone #3 is due on Friday. All sections are due.
• Remember to read 1/2 hour at a minimum every day in English. This is part of the English grade.
